Special M2TW Kingdoms campaign mod

Tsardoms Total War Mod is a free game utility that totally modifies the original timeframe of the popular real-time strategy game expansion, Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms. The mod creator, Wallachian, noticed how TWgames lacks in portraying other histories in the medieval age. Its expanded version and the initial Medieval II: Total War release only focus on the events in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the British Isles, and the Americas, skipping the struggles of neighboring factions.

Thus, the campaign story of Tsardoms Total War Mod was created and depicts histories of Italy, the Balkans, and Asia Minor.

What to expect in Tsardoms Total War Mod?

The modified timeline in Tsardoms Total War Mod starts in the fourth quarter of 1345 AD and ends in the year 1530 because one of the game developer’s objectives is to depict the fall of the Roman Empire as well as illustrate neglected countries’ toil. In this age of the Roman Empire, there will be two opposing factions—the House of Kantakouzenoi and the Imperial Regency of the Roman Empire.

They’ll both fight for the guardianship of the heir to the throne. The Regency faction is allied with the Bulgarian Empire and Kingdoms of Serbia. Meanwhile, the Ottomans and the Emir of Aydin have sided with the Kantakouzenos, which heckles the eastern part of the Empire. As you go further deeper into the game, you’ll encounter more battling nations which you can, later on, persuade for unification with your faction.

Here, a refurbished and more accurate map can be accessed. Unlike the map of the original Medieval II: Total War series, it now includes the western part of Asia Minor, the Balkans, Italy, the Holy Roman Empire up to Strasbourg, Bavaria, and Vienna, Central and Eastern Europe up to Kyiv. A fresh but confusing feudal system is also added along with tons of religious scripts to boost the play’s depth.

Discover overlooked Medieval factions

Tsardoms Total War Mod is a Medieval II: Total War story campaign that you shouldn't miss even if the official developer, TWgames, fails to incorporate it in the expansion version. In this mod, you'll be able to see and explore the nations and factions that the original series did not include. On top of that, a more precise map and truckloads of brand new scripts were added to provide richer gameplay.
